Korean 1 - Reflection

Throughout the learning journey in Korean, I have understood the basics, including basic vocabulary, grammar, and simple sentences. I have covered more than half of the Korean learning plan in my study plan.

Weekly exercises have really helped me a lot in revising things I have learned in class, which built a solid foundation in understanding sentence structure and the usage of grammar items. When doing these writing exercises, I first composed the sentences by writing them in my notebook. By doing so, I am able to practise writing Hangeul characters and understand the character structure.

Of the four language skills, writing and listening have been stronger for me, while speaking and reading require more practice. Korean 1 has not been too challenging, but I still need to improve my vocabulary and speaking confidence. In the next semester, I plan to take the Korean 2 module to further advance my skills. I will also continue my Korean studies during the semester break to ensure I don't forget what I have learned.

In the future, if I have the opportunity to travel to Korea, I would like to communicate in Korean for basic communication, like ordering and asking for directions. This would be a meaningful and exciting experience for me.

Lastly, I would like to thank Ms. Anna for her teaching and express my appreciation for her effort and patience throughout this learning journey. Her classes are enjoyable, making learning easy and fun by sharing many interesting stories.
